Details other converters skip
- Correct rotation. EXIF orientation is applied, so portrait photos stay portrait.
- White fill when going to JPG. Since JPG has no transparency, transparent areas are filled with white instead of turning black.
- No lying buttons. If your browser cannot write WebP — the case in some Safari versions — that option disappears from the dropdown and we tell you why.
- Resizing in the same pass. You can cap the longest side at 1920 px or less while converting, which is where most of the weight saving comes from.

If what you need is a lighter file in the same format, the right tool is the compressor, which has a target-size mode and shows the saving per file. This converter is for changing format; the compressor is for slimming down.

Which formats does it accept and produce?
It reads JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, HEIF, GIF (first frame), BMP and AVIF if your browser can decode it. It writes JPG, PNG and WebP.
Can I convert several images at once?
Yes, up to 30 per batch. They are processed one after another with their own progress bar, and you can download them separately or together in a ZIP.
Are there watermarks or conversion limits?
Neither. No watermarks, no sign-up, no daily quota. The tool runs on your machine, so it costs us nothing if you use it a thousand times.
What if I change my mind about the format?
Change the dropdown and the images are re-converted automatically with the new settings, without dropping them again.
Does it convert to AVIF?
Not for now: most browsers still cannot write that format, only read it, and we would rather not offer an option that would fail on half the machines out there.
